Flow Components with Reconciled Values Below Minimum or Above Maximum Level
This analysis rule includes the list of flow elements with reconciled component results that are below the minimum or above the maximum. When the reconciled value falls outside the range indicated by the flow analyzer's minimum and maximum, normal operating parameters have been violated. While nothing may be wrong (for example, the flow is being serviced) this situation is a gross error. This condition can indicate the following:
- Missing data
- Bad data
- Invalid flow configuration
The following table lists a sample log output for this analysis.
Sample Log
| Time | Severity | Element | Attribute | Message |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 9/1/2005 10:06 | ...REPORTING FLOW COMPONENTS WITH RECONCILED VALUE BELOW MINIMUM/ABOVE MAXIMUM | |||
| 9/1/2005 10:06 | Error | FlowA | ReconciledComponentResults | C3 ReconciledComponent Results= .9 above Maximum= .7 |
Analysis Method
- Collect a list of all flow elements in the current Case that satisfy the following criteria:
- Status Attribute value is IS (In Service).
- Compare the reconciled component value to the analyzer component minimum and maximum values.
- Write to the log section of the case. Report the violating flow information.
Configuration Using the Wizard
The configuration of the Flows with components with reconciled values below the minimum or above the maximum is a selection of the General Gross Error Analysis Rule. You open the window for configuring the test (shown in the following figure) from the General Gross Error Analysis Rule Wizard.
Open the Gross Error Configuration window as described in Configuring - General Gross Error Analysis Rule.
On the Flows tab, select Flows with components with reconciled values below the minimum or above the maximum.
A Flows with components with reconciled values below the minimum or above the maximum levels - Attributes window opens.
Select the Attributes according to the following table:
Attributes
Selections Description Component Results Flow Attribute containing reconciled component results. Reconciled Component Results Flow Attribute containing reconciled component results. Status Flow in/out of service status. This defaults to 'ObjectStatus'. Click OK to finish the configuration.
The text "CONFIGURED" displays next to the 'Flows with components with reconciled values below the minimum or above the maximum' selection.
To run this test, see Running the Post Reconciliation Gross Error Analysis.
